About Us

Delivery Team

The Kitchen Club Delivery Team

Our delivery team shares a passion for food, families and fairness, and combines deep professional expertise with lived experience and specialist training.

In addition to food hygiene, safeguarding, and trauma-informed practice, delivery staff complete core training for the HENRY healthy start programme, and the Solihull Approach for parenting. We also benefit from additional training opportunities with local partners like the NHS and Shelter.

Weekly team meetings and fortnightly 1:1s include case management and supervision, and we hold regular reflective practice sessions for staff, volunteers and partners.

Volunteers

People from a wide range of backgrounds donate their time, experience and energy to support our work. Many of our volunteers are former beneficiaries and we offer tailored support and training to help develop the confidence and skills needed to access future employment.

The Parent Club CIO

Parent Club was set up in 2014 to help disadvantaged children get the best start possible, with a focus on families who were not being reached by other services.  To do this, we designed Kitchen Club - an early intervention to improve nutrition, promote good parenting, and connect families to further support. With more than 10 years of experience, we have delivered over 1000 Kitchen Club sessions, reaching more than 1200 families.

We’ve been supporting families in temporary accommodation since 2018, building our knowledge and expertise in partnership with beneficiaries and other specialist services. Three of our current weekly projects are for this community, and we have plans to scale up further to meet increasing demand.
